Alaskan reality tv

Ever since coming back up to college I have been watching alot of shows about Alaskan Gold. If any of you have ever seen the show Gold Rush on discovery channel kudos to you. If you haven't watch it and learn about man's mortal struggle with gold. For those who have seen it you know it is an incredible reality tv drama. If you have not seen the show well I can give you the basic rundown every show goes as follows. All the miners are doing well waiting for the big strike when CRASH* some machine vital to the whole miner's season breaks. Then a narrator voice over says, "If the miners can't get (random mining equipment) running their season could very well be over leaving them without a paycheck." After said part gets destroyed they get it fixed and end up with just enough gold to keep things interesting.
Uh oh it broke now I can't feed my kids
So yeah mining is a pretty stressful job but they always get the equipment fixed (sometimes by finding a random part a few miles away that apparently is so rare there are only 8 of them in the united states.)
Finding one of these is the real treasure
I love this show though they are predictable but there is a pure adrenaline rush in seeing gold. So yes I have become addicted to it sort of like anyone that hears gold comes running I kind of feel like if I had reasonable equipment I'd be doing the same thing. So I highly recommend it to anyone. So you can now imagine the adrenaline rush I got after watching the first episode of Bering Sea Gold which takes all the drama of finding gold on land and puts it under subzero water.
Underwater: Makes things ten times more awesome
Basically in the first episode we had a boat nearly get smashed against rocks, a guy dislocating his arm, and some guy's boat sinking. Oh and did I mention in the first day they got half of the gold that the land miners get in an entire season. This show is awesome but don't take my word for it go watch it yourself and let me know what you think.

Anyways so I've decided at the end of every week I'll tell you all something I learned from the week before. This week I learned that ramen noodles and bbq sauce do not mix......at all. Don't even try it I don't even want to think about it at the risk of upchucking all over my desk. If your going to take one thing from this article its just that don't mix it. carpe diem
