Why I "Roll Tide"

It's time for that semi-bi annual event where I blow the dust off my keyboard and make another feeble attempt at a blog post. 838 views in the span of a year is rather pathetic, so I've been trying to distance myself from this blog to give an excuse for the feeble page views. Instead of writing a paper on the effects of mercury use in rural gold mining operations....I've decided to write in my blog, while checking in on all my social media sites, and listening to sad British pop music.

Try to avoid the stare...
If you are a fan of college football or sports in general you have probably heard the words "roll tide." Its a phrase associated with the University of Alabama which basically means. Hello, Goodbye, I love you, thank you, is it safe, it is safe, we're leaving now, pretty much the possibilities are endless. Here's a video to prove my point.
The word "roll tide" to Alabama folk is basically like "aloha" to Hawaiians. It is versatile and can literally be formed to fit any verb in the English language. Here are some examples:

1. Man this party is getting lame we ready to roll tide?
2. This steak is dang good roll tide ma'am, roll tide.
3. Jimmy don't back out of lighting yourself on fire, sometimes you just gotta roll that dang tide.
You can even separate the word out and make it hit home even more.
4. If the tide needs rollin, rolleth?
5. When the tide gets high....ya gotta roll it.

It's a well known word in the college football world and extremely annoying to most non-Alabama football fans. We at the Anti-Pike house have adopted the word as our own and begun using it with vigor to the annoyance of pretty much anyone outside of our little cult. It annoys people but we don't care because we like sports and we play to win the game...did that point not sink in let me let ol' Herm Edwards break it down for you...

Anyways that's all for today I gotta get back to homework and my life so have a good day yal....and remember to "roll tide."
