Battle of the Infomercials

Whether they admit it or not almost everyone secretly enjoys watching infomercials. It may be the ridiculous acting, it may be the stupidness of the product, or the persuasion abilities of the pitchman...

"Best friends, paper towels, get good grades on your test"

Whatever the reason is we watch infomercials today in my "Battle of the Infomercials" We will be analyzing two ads that aired around the same time, they are both for shaving strokes off your golf game they are "The Pottty Putter" and "The URO Club." I'll give you the facts and then let you decide which ad will win today's "Battle of the Infomercials."

The Potty Putter

Do you find your short game to be a struggle. Well now you can get that much needed practice while your relieving yourself. 

 First we are shown some bleached hair loser who misses a putt presumably for two reasons, one because he is taking it from the tee box with no hole in site or two because he's not ripping out mass amounts of waste while doing it. The commercial takes the high road and chooses the prior...

"My secret? A good bowel movement."

 To solve the problem of this man's golf game woes he buys a "potty putter."

Great form....Are we talking about the putting still?

 Basically its a mini "professional grade" green to putt on while taking a dump. And according to the commercial its a great gift idea, but don't let me talk it up here's an actual customer review of the product.

"Finally, consumer innovators have heard the pee of millions of voices around the world! At last we can toss out that old toilet-side copy of What's Your Poo Telling You? and reign like a king while improving our swing.

I'm so satisfied with this product that I've stopped taking my usual colon cleanse just so I can feel free to sit, push and putt for hours on end. I even quadrupled my intake of pastas, breads, and cheese while cutting out most fibers and liquid. The instructions don't say to do this, but anybody truly desiring to deliver a birdie will do likewise.

My only complaint is that I would have liked a "bumper rail" on the green for those times when you occasionally miss the hole. A good many messy accidents were made chasing after the ball while, um, "multi-tasking" - let's just say, after one bogey, my sparkly clean bathroom looked more like your fingers after eating a Reese's cup found in the backseat of a hot car.

Still, the pros no doubt usurp the cons when it comes to this genius invention. And hopefully they won't stop here, as a bathroom bowling set is also high on my wishlist"

 Sounds like a great product to me and you are only a hop skip and jump away from other great games to play on the can...

 "The URO Club"

 First off start thinking about all the words that acronym can possibly form. Now, here's the commercial see how close you were....
